This document is a baseline template provided for the Aurooo product. Before launch it should be reviewed by qualified legal counsel for the jurisdictions in which you operate (including GDPR, UK GDPR, and CCPA/CPRA where applicable).
1. Information we collect
Account information. When you register we collect your email address, a display name, and a unique handle. If you choose to add a bio or avatar, that is stored with your profile.
Content you upload. Images and microfilms you submit, along with their titles, descriptions, and tags, are stored so we can display them and prepare delivery versions for different screens.
Usage and analytics. We record view and like counts, saves, follows, and basic interaction events so we can show creators how their work performs. We do not build advertising profiles from this data.
Payment information. Subscriptions and payouts are processed by Stripe. Aurooo never stores your full card number; Stripe transmits the minimum needed to complete a transaction and, where relevant, to pay creators.
2. How we use information
- To operate the Theatre, Explore, Studio, and creator tools.
- To review content for safety and policy compliance before publication.
- To calculate creator earnings and process payouts.
- To secure the service, prevent abuse, and respond to reports.
- To communicate with you about your account, only when necessary.
3. Sharing with service providers
We share data only with the infrastructure needed to run Aurooo: Cloudflare (hosting, delivery, and storage), Stripe (payments), and our database provider Neon. Each acts on our instructions and under confidentiality obligations. We do not sell your personal information.
4. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, email privacy@aurooo.com. We respond within the timeframes required by law (generally 30 days).
5. Cookies and local storage
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your language preference. We also store a small list of works you save locally in your browser so saved items persist between sessions. You can clear these at any time through your browser settings.
6. Children
Aurooo is not directed to anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a minor has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
7. Data retention
We keep account and content data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your profile and published works within a reasonable period, subject to limited backups and legal retention obligations.
